About the lovely Flutist,
Alexandra Torres Reyes
Known for her expressive storytelling and vibrant tone, flutist Alexandra Torres Reyes is an award-winning flutist, arranger, and educator based in Fort Worth, Texas. An experienced performer on flute, piccolo, and alto flute, she holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance (2023) and an Artist Diploma in Flute Performance (2025) from Texas Christian University, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of North Texas (2020).
Alexandra maintains an active performing career throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. She has performed with ensembles including the TCU Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Symphonic Band, and appeared with the TCU Flute Choir at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention and the National Flute Association Convention. She was the Gold Prize Winner of the 2022 San Diego Flute Guild Piccolo Specialty Competition. She served as a residential flutist and piccolist for the international Virtual Concert Band from 2020 to 2023.
A versatile musician, Alexandra performs regularly with orchestras, chamber groups, church ensembles, and theater productions. Recent performances include Nelson University’s productions of The Little Mermaid and My Fair Lady. She currently serves as principal flutist for the Stonebriar Community Church Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Flute Choir, and performs with the First United Methodist Church Orchestra in Fort Worth. She has also collaborated with churches throughout the DFW Metroplex, sharing her love for music and faith through performance.
Beyond the stage, Alexandra is dedicated to teaching and musical outreach. She teaches private flute lessons to students of all levels, helping them develop strong technique, musical expression, and confidence. She also shares performances and original flute arrangements on social media, exploring repertoire from classical music to film scores, musicals, rock, and worship music to showcase the flute’s expressive versatility.
Through both performing and teaching, Alexandra’s mission is to connect with audiences through storytelling and inspire others to discover their own musical voice.
